Event Review: Meet The Sommelier

On July 28, 2018, Blogkla had the honour of attending the first "Meet The Sommelier" series at Kampala Serena Hotel. The event sponsored by Vicland Wines and Spirits and GH.Mumm Champagne took place at the hotel's exquisite and wonderfully designed cozy champagne bar.

The man of the moment who steered the highly educative session was Celestine, the in house sommelier of the hotel. He shared his extensive knowledge of champagne from it's history, origins, production, storage to marketing.

The tastings were paired with cheese and fruit to compliment the palates and enhance the taste of the featured champagne, GH. Mumm.
