Endiro Coffee Launches Kampala's First Sign Language Cafe

Updated: Sep 3, 2020

Endiro Coffee recently launched it’s first sign language cafe in Kampala. Located at Yujo restaurant in Nakasero, the cafe is a first of it’s kind in the city.

Sign language you ask? Yes, all the staff are deaf or hard of hearing and communicate via sign language. The cafe is spacious, clean and covid - 19 safety precautions are well observed.

The interior design done by House of Ndinda gives the place a modern, cozy vibe where one can quietly sit and work or meet up a friend for a coffee date.

There are freshly baked pastries available for a quick order as soon as you walk through the door.

The Kitchen area

A quiet spot for privacy.

Socially distanced seating.

A separate area for board room style meetings.

The food menu is pretty much similar to the rest of the other Endiro cafes and since all the staff are deaf you have to circle your options on the temp paper menus that are offered.

The turkey sandwich served with a generous side salad was very filling.
